Profiling Quick Guidelines

Single Radius - Traditional profiles

7 ́ - A good profile for figure skaters 8 ́ - A good profile for figure skaters 9 ́ - - A good profile for figure skaters. A common hockey pro- file that gives fast cross over skating, but hard to maintain speed. Easy to do tight turns and change of directions. The short ice contact requires a deep hollow to grip the ice. In return, it makes you to dig into the ice producing higher friction, bad glide, unstable feeling, and hard to hit maximum speeds. Size of holders up to 254. 10 ́ - Gives tight turns, fast acceleration, and change of direc- tions. But, the short ice contact digs into the ice, produc- ing higher friction, and bad glide. Size of holders up to 263. 11 ́ - Good profile for younger players that have learned the proper skating techniques from an improved balance of a longer radius. Size of holders up to 272 12´- Gives more drive speed and stability, than a shorter ra- dius. A popular profile for lighter skilled players, who will stay with a single radius. Size of holders up to 280 13´ - The optimal choice for a fully developed skater and average player who will stay with a single radius. Size of holder from 263 -296 14´ - The optimal choice for a heavy playing defenseman or average skater. Size of holders 280- 312 15´ - Radius for good balance, especially for the lighter players. Enhances the ability to work on skating posture. *Note: go for a shorter radius when the skills are developed enough. 17´ - Radius for very good balance. It gives heavier players the ability to work on skating posture. Increases speed, even in cross overs, but it lacks in acceleration and agility. *Go for a shorter radius when the skills are developed enough.

Double "Combi" Radius

Detroit 1 - The combination profile of 10’-20’. Produces massive speed and very good balance. Great for big ice hockey. Fantastic speed, even during cross- over skating. Good mobility. Modest agility. Detroit 2 - The combination profile of 13’-26’. More for heavy defensive skaters. Great backwards skating. Also, a good goalie profile. Combo 10 ́-13 ́ - Very good acceleration, tight turns, and cross-over skating. Produces more speed when compared to Combo 9’-10’. Combo 9 ´- 10´ Great acceleration, tight turns, and cross-over skating. For lighter skaters. Size of holders up to 263 . Toronto 1 - The combination profile of 7’-10’. Used to improve acceleration, tight turns, and cross-over skating. For elite light skaters. Size of holders up to 246 Toronto 2 - The combination profile of 9’-15’. Produces massive acceleration and good balance. Size of holders up to 280 Toronto 3 - The combination profile of 11’-17’. Produces good acceleration, speed, and balance. For big mobile defensemen. No need to profile more than 40- 50%. Size of holders up to 288 Win 1 - The combination profile of 9.5’-10.5’. Increases acceleration, tight turns, and cross-over skating. For lighter players. Good for female specific play- ers. Size of holders up to 272 Win 2 -The combination profile of 10’-11’. Good accelera- tion, tight turns, and cross-over skating. Produces better top end speed when compared to Win 1. For lighter players. Good for female specific players. Size of holders up to 280.

Triple Radius

Zuperior S - A combination profile of 6’-12’-26’. Used to increase acceleration, manoeuvrability, speed, and balance. It delivers fantastic ice contact needed for producing great edge control. It is a great choice for a power forward because of the added stability you need to battle along the walls and corners, but also acceleration bursts to escape from those areas. Size of holders 246- 254-263. For lighter skaters. Zuperior M - Profile of 6’-13’-26’. See Zuperior S. Size of holders 272-280-288. For medium weight skaters. Zuperior L - Profile of 6’-14’-26’. See Zuperior S. Size of holders 296-306-312. For heavier skaters. Zuperior V - Profile of 6’-17’-26’. See Zuperior S. Size of holders 296-306-312. Quad .5 - Slightly more flatness towards the hell compared to quad zero. Quad 1 - Combination profile of 6’-9’-12’-15’. Acceleration,́manoeuvrability, speed, and balance are optimized.
